This website is a collection of the thoughts, ideas and musing of John Peters.

John Peters is a civil engineer by profession with over 32 yrs of experience. He has worked in several Caribbean countries including Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Lucia. He has worked both in the Public and Private Sector. He was Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Communications, Works and Transport from 1991 – 1995, where he initiated the Grand Castries Transportation Study which led to the development of the Millennium Highway with two Tunnels.

From 1995 – 1997 he was General Manager of the Housing and Urban Development Corporation, in that period the most ambitious housing programme in Saint Lucia’s history was pursued. In those two years, close to 200 houses were built in locations such as Careille Development, Monier, Postlewaithe, Inglewood, Bonne Terre Gardens and an additional 120 service lots were developed.

In the private sector, he has been involved is airport development work in Anguilla and G F L Charles Airport in Saint Lucia, sea defence works in Anguilla and Saint Lucia, hotel resort development, road construction, buildings, sporting facilities and a Airport Fire Station in Trinidad.

Although he studied sciences at secondary school level and then on to engineering at the University of the West Indies, he has always had an intense interest in politics, economics, religion and social affairs. He has expressed that intensity in writing in a weekly column in the local newspapers in Saint Lucia on various topics.

Christianity has had a tremendous impact on his life from the age of 11 yrs, John is very involved in church activity, being also an ordained Minister of Religion and now pastors a local church assembly in Saint Lucia.

His writing are from his wide experiences as a civil engineer, a citizen of the Caribbean, and most certainly the divine wisdom from God.
